Survey / Seine Flood Risk Prevention Plan.
Realization of a two-dimensional hydraulic model, hazard maps and stake maps.
Within the framework of the elaboration of the Seine Flood Risk Prevention Plan between Giverny and Vironvay, the DDTM of Eure and BRLi trusted CERES to realize a two-dimensional hydraulic model, hazard maps and stake maps.
In order to obtain additional points sowing.
In association with Euclyd-Eurotop, CERES was commissioned to carry out these surveys.
Thus, during September and October, CERES worked on the zones defined in three distinct phases:
- Acquisition of topographic profiles and structural surveys
- Acquisition of bathymetric data with multibeam echosounder.
- Acquisition of data with the single-beam echosounder in areas inaccessible to the previous phase.
SALVAGE / Drague CHARLEMAGNE
Search, identification & refloating of a 24T Dredge Elinde in 45m depth off the coast of Boulogne
In March 2019, the dredger Charlemagne lost its dredging hose (24m/24T) in bad weather and returned to Calais.
At the beginning of May, CERES took part in the search, location and identification of the pipe using side scan sonar and CERES divers.
We found it in 45m of water.
In July 2019, with the help of the new Dutch diving partner NSIBV with the barge NSI Worker and the adventurer DSC 42m Jumbo Multicat, CERES managed to recover and save the pipe.

SALVAGE / SEPHELLE
Sonar Search, Investigation and Rescue of the Fishing Vessel "Sephelle"
Friday, August 09, 2019, at 06:45 am the semaphore of Ault - a unit of the French Navy - is alerted by the fishing vessel "Flots bleus" that the fishing vessel "Seph elle" would have sunk 1 nautical mile (1.8 km) from the coast of Le Tréport. Immediately, the semaphore alerted the Gris Nez Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Centre (CROSS), the fire brigade of the SDIS 80 and the Maritime Operations Centre of the Préfecture Maritime de la Manche et Mer du Nord.
The crew of the fishing vessel consisted of two fishermen: the ship's captain and a deckhand.
The CROSS then broadcasts a "mayday relay" message to surrounding vessels in the area. Finally, after drifting at sea for several hours, the two seamen managed to swim to the beach at Bois de Cise, south of Ault, where they were picked up by the firefighters around 0700.
The CROSS thus cancels the "mayday relay" message it had issued earlier. The Préfecture Maritime de la Manche et Mer du Nord has issued an urgent notice to mariners concerning the sinking of the "Seph elle".
